Wir haben unsere Kitty jetzt genau ein Jahr und haben nicht so recht gewusst wie unsere Tochter (6) reagiert, wenn die Katze Mäuse, Vögel, Maulwürfe und Blindschleichen erlegt. Aber Kinder sind da ziemlich cool, nur mir tut das Herz weh. Ja es ist Katzes Natur, aber es gefällt mir gar nicht. Ich habe es gern, wenn es in meinem Garten kreucht und fleucht.
We have two bird nests on our house, sparrows and blackbirds. The sparrows have apparently too many eggs because shortly after hatching, two babies were pushed out of the nest. When it was time to fly out we have monitored our cat or left her in the house. These two siblings have settled on our wood pile. Unfortunately we have found one of them dead in the evening. The cat was in the house and and I cannot say if the dog was involved. Normally he is not in birds. But everything went OK with the blackbirds. One morning the nest was empty and no birds in sight. Dog and cat are always in the house at night because in our area are many martens which are very snappy and aggressive.
We have our Kitty now exactly one year and have not known how our little girl (6) reacts when the cat kills mice, birds, moles and slowworms. But kids are pretty cool, it only hurts my heart. Yes, it is the cats nature but I don’t like it. I like it when it crawls and flies in my garden.
