A retrospect of April:
- I read about a method that allows you to keep orchids in water and I'm going to test that now that I've lost another Phalaenopsis. So far I've had great results. New shoots after just two weeks. I'll write a separate post about that.
- I noticed that the leaves of our elm looked different than they had for the last 20 years and what surprise, they were flowers. After about 20-30 years, elms bloom for the first time and this is what it looks like. Cool, right?
- I already planted lettuce, beetroot and kohlrabi. The tomato plants didn't tolerate the brief drop in temperature so well. The above-ground leaves froze, but the plants are sprouting new shoots from the roots and leaf axils.
- Colorful flowers are guaranteed in the summer. I've sown a colorful flower mix in the open space in the bed.
- - 8. just give me joy. I'll be able to harvest rhubarb soon. Forget-me-nots are simply magical. There is almost nothing more beautiful than apple blossom in April and Allium is always a highlight in the flower bed and incredibly popular with flying insects.
