DIY: Happy Ghost City

Halloween feiern oder zelebrieren wir nicht, oder nicht mehr, seit meine Tochter keine Lust mehr dazu hatte. Aber ich wurde heftig zum Basteln inspiriert und so habe ich mich mit meiner Tochter (20) hingesetzt und unsere kleine Geisterstadt gebaut.

We don't celebrate Halloween anymore, or at least not since my daughter lost interest. But I was strongly inspired to do some crafting, so I sat down with my daughter (20) and built our little ghost town. 

Wir haben Saft- und Milchkartons in verschiedenen Größen gesammelt, Fenster und Türen ausgeschnitten und mit Tafelfarbe bemalt. Nach dem Trocknen beginnt der eigentliche Spaß. Mit einem Kreidestift werden die Häuser verziert. Fenster und Türen hervorgehoben, Spinnweben und Zäune oder andere Details aufgezeichnet. Katzen, Fledermaus und Geistervorlagen aus dem Netz ausgedruckt, bemalt und aufgeklebt. Das Ergebnis begeistert total!

We collected juice and milk cartons in various sizes, cut out windows and doors, and painted them with chalkboard paint. After they dried, the real fun began. We decorated the houses with a chalk marker, highlighting windows and doors, adding cobwebs, fences, and other details. We printed out cat, bat, and ghost templates from the internet, colored them in, and glued them on. The result is absolutely fantastic! 

Wir haben Vorlagen für lustige und schreckliche Geister ausgedruckt. Die Gruselgeister wollen die Häuser der lustigen Geister übernehmen. Aber gegen die fröhlichen Gespenster haben sie keine Chance und werden auch noch ausgelacht. 

We printed out templates for funny and scary ghosts. The scary ghosts want to take over the houses of the funny ghosts. But they don't stand a chance against the cheerful ghosts and are even laughed at.
