12tel Blick 2022 - März

Im und am Beet hat sich im März nichts getan. Es war zu kalt. Weder mein Mann noch ich hatten Lust bei der Kälte mit der Gartenarbeit zu beginnen. Daher vertröste ich euch auf nächstes Monat, wo hoffentlich schon ein bisschen Action stattfand. 

Nothing happened in and on the vegetable bed in March. It was too cold. Neither my husband nor I wanted to start gardening in the cold. So I'll put you off with promises until next month, when hopefully some action will have taken place. 

Nichtsdestotrotz gibt es zwei Blühhighlights im Garten, die ich euch nicht vorenthalten will. Zum einen das Goldglöckchen oder Forsythie zum anderen die Blutpflaume. Die Forsythie ist ja bei Naturgärtnern sehr umstritten, weil sie für die heimische Insektenwelt uninteressant ist. Das mag schon sein, aber für mich ist die goldgelbe Blütenfarbe ein Zeichen, dass jetzt wirklich Frühling ist. Kein anderes Gehölz zeigt so sehr an, dass es Zeit ist, in den Garten zu kommen. Bei uns blüht die Forsythie seit zwei Tagen und die Temperaturen sind jetzt auch wirklich einladend genug, sich länger draußen aufzuhalten.

Nevertheless, there are two flowering highlights in the garden that I don't want to withhold from you. On the one hand the Border forsythia on the other hand the blood plum. The forsythia is very controversial among natural gardeners because the shrub is uninteresting for the native insect world. That may be true, but for me the golden-yellow color of the flowers is a sign that it really is spring. No other tree gives such a great indication that it is time to get into the yard. Our forsythia has been blooming for two days and the temperatures are now really inviting enough to stay outside longer.
