In July we spent three days in Grado, northern Italy on the Adriatic. Grado has an old town that is very reminiscent of Venice.
But Grado is best known for its miles of sandy beaches. Italian beaches sometimes have problems with algae in the summer, but at the time we were there, the water was wonderfully warm and clear and, like the sandy beach, extremely clean.
Three days were enough for us, as we are not fans of sunbathing, but rather more into sightseeing. Everything in Grado was perfect for us: the ambience, the atmosphere, the coziness, the town, the beach, the food. Just perfect!

Have a nice day!
Beautiful photos. I always find myself entranced by the narrow streets of "old cities".

Hi Sue! You are so right. Venice and all cities around the Mediterranean Sea where Venteians found and built cities (there are quite some) are so lovely and magical.

Hej Ulrike!

There seems to be a old city charm on the streets of Italy. Thanks for sharing those beautiful street shots with Garden Affair.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful trip to Grado!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a wonderful time exploring the charming old town and enjoying the pristine beaches.
Even if you're not a sunbather, it's great to hear that the atmosphere and food made your stay perfect.
