Monatscollage August 2025

Monatsrückblick für August:

1. Wunderschöne gigantische Platanen stehen im Wasserschlosspark in Kottingbrunn. 
2. Wir verbrachten herrliche drei Tage Kurzurlaub im Salzkammergut. Berge, Almen, Seen und bezaubernde Dörfer. Auf dem Foto sieht man den Dachstein. Mehr dazu HIER.
3. Meine Tochter konnte einen eindrucksvollen Regenbogen am Abendhimmel fotografieren.
4. Momentan verstricke ich meine selbstgefärbte Wolle. Die Wolle der gelben Mütze habe ich mit natürlichen Mitteln gefärbt. Es ist schon lange her, aber ich glaube ich habe Walnussblätter, Goldrute, Curry, Holunderbeeren etc. verwendet. Könnt ihr HIER nachlesen.
5. Die andere Haube habe ich mit Lebensmittelfarben in der Farbe Olive eingefärbt. Die Farbe ist wunderschön geworden und sehr olivig.
6. Da sind auch viele andere Farben entstanden. Färben mit Lebensmittelfarben geht schnell und einfach. HIER gibt es einen Post darüber.
7. Ein beeindruckendes Wandgemälde an einer Hausfassade in Wien, 6. Bezirk haben wir kürzlich entdeckt. Nach Recherchen habe ich herausgefunden, dass es von der chilenischen Graffiti-Künstlerin Anis gemalt wurde. Die Lotusblüte steht für Wiedergeburt, Erotik, Körper und Geist. Bezaubernd! 
8. Und der Herbst lässt grüßen, wenn die Lampionblumen orange leuchten.

A retrospect of August: 

1. We found these beautiful, gigantic plane trees in the moated castle park in Kottingbrunn. 
2. We spent a wonderful three-day short break in the Salzkammergut. Mountains, alpine pastures, lakes, and charming villages. The picture shows the Dachstein mountain. More about it HERE.
3. My daughter was able to photograph an impressive rainbow in the evening sky.
4. I'm currently knitting my self-dyed yarn. I dyed the wool for the yellow hat using natural dyes. It was a long time ago, but I think I used walnut leaves, goldenrod, curry, elderberries, etc. You can read about it HERE.
5. I dyed the wool for the other hat with food coloring, the name of the color was olive and it came out beautifully and very olivy.
6. Many other colors emerged from this as well. Dyeing with food coloring is quick and easy. There's a post about it HERE.
7. We recently discovered an impressive mural on a house facade in Vienna's 6th district. After researching, I found out that it was painted by the Chilean graffiti artist Anis. The lotus blossom represents rebirth, eroticism, body, and spirit. Enchanting! 
8. And autumn says hello when the lantern flowers glow orange.
