Monatscollage Oktober 2025

Monatsrückblick für Oktober: 

1. Zu Beginn des Monats Oktober kommt immer was Erfreuliches und zwar der Geburtstag meiner Tochter (20). Sie wünschte sich einen Schokotrifle. Kalorienbombe Deluxe, aber so gut. 
2. Und als Aktivität stand Minigolf auf ihrer Liste. Diesmal haben wir eine neue Indoorlocation ausprobiert und waren ganz begeistert. Wir waren aber der Meinung, dass der rissige und abschüssige Beton der Outdoorplätze schon seinen Reiz hat und zusätzlich für Spannung sorgt.
3. Außerdem haben wir als Eltern eine Erziehungslücke entdeckt und sie sofort geschlossen, indem wir das nächstgelegene 'Running Sushi' aufgesucht haben. Meine Tochter war total aufgeregt, dass soviel Essen in kleinen Portionen einfach an ihr vorbeifährt (oder ihrer Meinung nach vorbeirast). 
4. Ich weiß nicht, ob man am ersten oberen Bild die Zugvögel erkennen kann. Wir wohnen nicht in einer Gegend wo Zugvögel vorbei kommen, wenn sie in den Süden fliegen. Also war dieser Schwarm total außergewöhnlich. Meine Tochter rannte ins Haus, um mich zu holen und dann nochmal, um das Handy für ein Foto zu holen und da waren sie dann schon etwas weit weg. Da wünscht man sich doch ein Vogel zu sein. 
5. Im Oktober geht sich immer ein Ausflug in die Südsteiermark aus, um die herrlichen farbenfrohen Weinberge zu sehen und den Schilchersturm zu kosten. 
6. Als ich im hiesigen Baumarkt ein Kunstpflanzen-Wandpaneel sah, wusste ich, dass das ideal für das Zimmer meiner Tochter war, das nordseitig liegt. Hängt jetzt als Bild über ihrem Schreibtisch und sieht einfach toll aus. 
7. Ein paar Tage am Meer (Grado, Italien) waren auch im Oktober dabei. Wir haben das mal ausprobiert, ob und das überhaupt gefällt, wenn es nicht ums Baden geht. Ja, hat gefallen und für manche war es auch warm genug zum Schwimmen, aber nicht für mich. Mehr dazu HIER. 
8. Oktober ist einer meiner Lieblingsmonate, weil sich die Natur von seiner buntesten Seite zeigt. Einfach herrlich!
9. Und diesmal haben wir zu Halloween einer Geisterstadt als Deko gebastelt. Ein Projekt das total Freude gemacht hat und das Resultat und die Wirkung jeden überzeugte. Mehr dazu HIER.

A retrospect of October: 

1. The beginning of October always brings something exciting: my daughter's (20) birthday. She wanted a chocolate trifle. A deluxe calorie bomb, but so good.
2. And mini-golf was on her list of activities. This time we tried a new indoor location and were thrilled. However, we felt that the cracked and sloping concrete of the outdoor courses had its own charm and and provides additional excitement.
3. Furthermore, as parents, we discovered a gap in our daughter's upbringing and immediately filled it by visiting the nearest 'running sushi' restaurant. My daughter was absolutely thrilled that so much food in small portions simply passed by her (or, in her opinion, raced).
4. I don't know if you can see the migratory birds in the first picture above. We don't live in an area where migratory birds pass by on their way south. So this flock was quite extraordinary. My daughter ran into the house to get me and then again to grab my phone for a photo, and by then they were already quite far away. It makes you wish you were a bird.
5. In October, we always manage a trip to Southern Styria to see the magnificent, colorful vineyards and taste the Schilchersturm (young, partially fermented wine).
6. When I saw an artificial plant wall panel at the local hardware store, I knew it was perfect for my daughter's north-facing room. It's now hanging above her desk and looks fantastic.
7. We also spent a few days at the seaside (Grado, Italy) in October. We tried it out to see if we actually enjoyed it, as long as it wasn't for swimming. Yes, we did, and for some people it was even warm enough to swim, but not for me. More about that HERE.
8. October is one of my favorite months because nature shows itself in its most colorful glory. Simply wonderful!
9. And this time, we made a ghost town as decoration for Halloween. A project that was a lot of fun, and the result and its effect impressed everyone. More about that HERE.
