My husband's birthday weekend was spent in his home county. In Klagenfurt we visited Minimundus - the miniature world on Lake Wörthersee. We were completely thrilled about how great this exhibition is. Attractions from around the world have been recreated detailled in 1:25 scale and lovingly set in a garden scenery. Planting has been adapted to buildings, small bushes were cut in a way so that they look like trees in front of the models. Worth seeing!
Den Nachmittag verbrachten wir bei Verwandten am Ossiacher See und genossen das Ambiente, die Gesellschaft und natürlich den herrlich warmen See. Am späten Nachmittag gab es das übliche Gewitter, aber das ist im Bergland eben so.
Am nächsten Tag ging's auf die Alm auf Schwammerlpirsch und natürlich wurden wir fündig. Für mich sind nur Eierschwammerl (Pfifferlinge) interessant, das sind die einzigen die ich eindeutig identifizieren kann. Hier wurden wir dann im Wald von einem Hagelgewitter überrascht, aber wir hatten schon genug Beute gemacht.
We spent the afternoon with relatives on Lake Ossiach and enjoyed the ambience, the company and of course the lovely warm sea. In the late afternoon there was the usual rainstorm, but that is normal in mountainous country.
The next day we went to the mountain pasture to hunt mushroom and of course we were successfully. For me only chanterelles are interesting, these are the only ones I can clearly identify. Here we were surprised in the forest by a hailstorm, but we had already made enough booty.

This place with the miniatures looks like a lot of fun. I have never heard of it before! Foraging for mushrooms must be really rewarding when you find ones you can cook with. I would not know which ones are safe to eat. :)
ReplyDeleteI am very carefully with mushrooms, that's why I only pick chanterelles. They are easy to identify and most savory.

ReplyDeleteein herrlicher Ort, das sit ja wirklich toll, die Mini-Welt :O) Den Spaziergang hätte ich auch sehr genossen, vor allem im Wlad, mit dem Duft von Waldboden und Schwammerln in der Nase :O) Schöne Pfifferlinge habt ihr gefunden! ein Hagelgewitter, das war sicher nicht so schön ...
