U wie Upcycling
Ich liebe es, Kleidung oder andere Materialien in etwas zu verwandeln, das man wieder gebrauchen kann und somit dem Wertstoff eine neue Bedeutung und ein weiteres Leben zu geben.
Auf meinem Blog findet man unter dem Label "Recycling" diese und viele weitere Beispiele.

I love transforming clothes or other materials into something reusable, giving these recyclables a new purpose and a second life.

| Zu kurze oder kaputte Hosen wurden zu Shorts. Trousers that were too short or torn became shorts. |

| Zu kleine Bademäntel wurden zu Badematten, kleine Handtücher oder Täschchen. Bathrobes that were too small were repurposed as bath mats, small towels, or small bags. |
 |
| Eine Arbeitsmontur wurde eine große Einkaufstasche. A work outfit became a large shopping bag. |
 |
| Statt Küchenpapiertücher wurden Babylätzchen, Waschlappen und alte Handtücher adaptiert. Instead of kitchen paper towels, baby bibs, washcloths and old towels were adapted. |

| Wiederverwertung von alten kaputten Jeanshosen. Recycling of old, damaged jeans. |
 |
| Werbeflugblätter oder gemustertes Altpapier wurden zu Lesezeichen. Advertising leaflets or patterned waste paper were turned into bookmarks. |

| Alte Holzlatten baute mein Mann zu einem Weihnachtsbaum. My husband built a Christmas tree out of old wooden slats. |

| Ein alter Küchentisch wurde ein Couchtisch. An old kitchen table became a coffee table. |

ReplyDeleteTurning bathrobes into bath mats and little bags is so clever and practical.
And the Christmas tree made out of old wooden slats is just brilliant.
The wooden Christmas tree is nice and flat and is already standing in the dining room in November, against a narrow wall between two doors. It fits perfectly :)
