Der Regen ist vorbei, die Sonne lacht. Da werde ich es mir unter unserer Pergola mit dem Strickzeug gemütlich machen.

The rain is over and the sun is shining. I'll make myself comfortable under our pergola with the knitting.

Brownies

Ich bin ja nun nicht so die Küchenfee und schon gar keine gute Kuchenbäckerin. Nachspeisen fallen in das Ressort meines Mannes. Nun, der ist heute aber nicht zu Hause. Da war es ja gut, dass diese Backmischung gestern im Angebot war und mein Mädchen heute Kuchen backen wollte. Also dieses Produkt ist nicht schlecht, aber vielleicht habt ihr ja DAS schnelle und einfache Browniesrezept für mich. Da wäre ich euch sehr dankbar.

I am no kitchen fairy and certainly not a good cake baker. Desserts fall within the remit of my husband. Well but he is not at home. It was good that this cake mix was on sale yesterday and my girlie wanted to bake a cake today. So this product is not bad but maybe anybody has THE quick and easy brownie recipe for me. I would be very grateful.

Der Mixer ist noch viel zu schwer für sie, aber sie möchte unbedingt rühren, wenn auch nur für ein paar Sekunden.

The mixer is still far too heavy for her but she really wants to mix even if only a few seconds.

Stellt euch das mit Vanilleeis und Schlagobers (Sahne) vor. Lecker!

Milchaufschäumer - Milk Frother

Diesmal es nicht nur eines meiner Lieblingsteile, sondern auch das meines Mannes. Und zwar der Milchschäumer! Da gibt es sicher ganz viele die ähnlich sind, wir haben das Modell von Tupperware und wir sind hellauf begeistert.

This time it is not only one of my favorite parts, but also that of my husband. The cappuccino creamer! There are certainly lots that are similar, we have the model of Tupperware and we are thrilled.

Erstens funktioniert das Teil ohne Strom und Batterien, es ist nicht viel Klimbim dabei und spülmaschinenfest. Und so einfach zu machen, dass meine Kleine (5 J.) sich ihre Milch am morgen selber aufschäumt.

First it works without electricity or batteries, no oddments and dishwasher safe. And it is so easy to use that my little girl (5 yrs) makes her milk foam in the morning by herself.

Am besten klappt es mit Milch mit wenig Fettanteil (also weniger als 3,6%) und am besten (uns jedenfalls) schmeckt es mit laktosefreier Milch, weil die ein bisschen süß ist. Wir verwenden kalte Milch aus dem Kühlschrank, aber angeblich (noch nicht von uns ausprobiert) klappt es auch mit lauwarmer Milch, aber nicht mit heißer!

It works best with low fat milk (less than 3.6%) and it tastes best (us anyway) with lactose-free milk, because that one is a bit sweet. We use cold milk from the fridge but supposedly (not tried by us) it will work with lukewarm milk too but not with hot milk!

Milch bis höchstens zur Markierung reingießen (etwa 4cm), Deckel drauf und festhalten und dann das Sieb schnell auf und ab bewegen. Die Milch wird durch die feinen Löcher gepresst und aufgeschäumt. Hier ist mein Mann bei der Arbeit!

Pour in milk not higher than the mark (about 2 in), cover on and hold it and then move the strainer up and down quickly. The milk is forced through the fine holes and foamed. Here is my husband at work!

Und in ein paar Sekunden ist die Milchcrema fertig! Deckel runter und den Milchschaum mit dem Sieb rausschieben. Lecker! Schön wäre natürlich jetzt noch ein Kakaoherz drauf.

And in a few seconds the milk crema is finished! Cover down and slide the froth out of the sieve. Yummy! Imagine a cocoa heart on it.

This will be a knitted triangle shawl.

Ich liebe es diese bunten Kosmetikpads zu machen. Zur Zeit biete ich schon 14 Farben an, eine schöner als die andere und man kann sie herrlich miteinander kombinieren.

I love making this colorful cosmetic pads. Currently I offer 14 colors, one more beautiful than the other and you can combine them together delightfully.

Meine Nähmaschine ist gerade nicht viel im Einsatz. Das Projekt liegt zwar schon zugeschnitten am Platz, aber bei dem schönen Wetter bin ich lieber im Garten und werke an den oberen Projekten.

My sewing machine is not much in use. Although the project is already designed and cut I rather be in the garden and work on the above things.

Das ist mein Pfingstrosenbeet vorm Jäten. Unsere Kitty versteckt sich gerne darin. Ich hasse Giersch. Sobald er im Frühjahr erscheint. Ich bin vielleicht deshalb so ein ausgeglichener Mensch, weil ich meine ganzen negativen Gefühle beim Gierschjäten auslebe.

This is my peony bed before weeding. Our Kitty love to hide in there. Oh I hate ground elder. As soon as it appears in spring. I am maybe therefore such a balanced person because all my negative feelings flow out of me when I am weeding goutweed.

New Task For Your Coffee Pot - Neue Aufgabe für deine Kaffeetasse

Seit Jahrzehnten schleppe ich bei jedem Umzug Dutzende Kaffeehäferl (Kaffeetassen) mit, die man schon als Teenager geschenkt bekam oder im Job oder selbst kaufte. Irgendwann benutzte ich sie nicht mehr, nahmen nur noch Platz weg. 

For decades, every time I moved I dragged along lots of coffee mugs which I got as a teenager or in job offices or even bought some myself. At some point I stopped using them, they took up space.

Bis ich auf die Idee kam, sie als Saattöpfchen zu verwenden. 

Then I got the idea to use them as pots for my seed.

Mein Mann bohrte ein Loch mit der Bohrmaschine rein für den Wasserablauf (schwierige Angelegenheit, es gab Verluste). 

My husband drilled a hole with the drill in the bottom for the water flow (difficult matter, there were losses).

Seither verwende ich sie für Kürbis- (Butternuss und Hokkaido) und Zucchiniansaat.

Since then I use them for my pumpkins (butternut and red kuri squash) and zucchini (courgette) seed.

Ich möchte euch wieder mal zwei super Bildbearbeitungsprogramme empfehlen. Total leicht anzuwenden und das beste ist - gratis.
I like to recommend two great image editing programs. Totally easy to use and best of all – for free.

Da wäre mal FotoFlexer mit unglaublich vielen Effekten. Es macht Spaß damit herumzuspielen.

One is FotoFlexer with many incredible effects. It's fun to play around with.

Das andere Programm ist Picnik. Hier gibt's hübsche Rahmen und Collagen und noch vieles mehr.

The other program is Picnik. I like making frames and collages but there are much more features.

Und bei beiden Programmen kann man viele Sprachen einstellen und braucht sich nicht registrieren.

You can set both programs in many languages and you don't have to register.
