Last Day of School Holidays - Letzter Ferientag

Gestern war der letzte Ferientag von 9 Wochen Schulferien. Weil zu Mittag das Wetter auf Sonne schaltete, wollten wir spontan einen Ausflug machen. Auf der Ostseite des Neusiedlersees gibt es das Schloss Halbturn, das ich mir schon lange ansehen will. Als ich mir die Adresse fürs Navi im Internet suchte, stellte ich fest, dass genau dieses Wochenende die Gartenlust stattfindet. Eine Verkaufsaustellung für Schönes in Heim und Garten. Außerdem besuchten wir auch die derzeit laufende, sehr schön und interessant gestaltete Bernstein-Ausstellung. Es war ein wunderschöner Nachmittag, mit vielen tollen Eindrücken. Das Barockschloss ist ein Schmuckstück, die Gartenanlage wunderschön und unter einer schattigen Linde probierten wir einen Elsässischen Flammkuchen. Lecker! 

Yesterday was the last day of 9 weeks of school holidays. Because the weather turned to sun at noon, we wanted to make a spontaneous trip. On the east side of Lake Neusiedl, there is the Halbturn Palace, I want to visit for a long time. When I looked up the address for the navigation system on the Internet, I found that just this weekend takes place Gartenlust. A sales exhibition for home and garden. We also visited the ongoing, very nice and interesting designed exhibition about amber. It was a beautiful afternoon, with lots of great impressions. The baroque palace is a gem, the gardens are beautiful and under a linden tree (lime tree) we tried an Alsatian Tarte. Yummy!

Autumn Time

Banana Bread - Bananenbrot

Es heißt zwar Brot ist aber ein Kuchen. Das ist Kuchen Nr. 2, der erste musste so schnell dran glauben, dass für Fotos keine Zeit blieb. Dem Bananenbrot habe ich noch geriebene Nüsse, Schokosplitter und etwas Buttermilch zugefügt und nur 1/2 Päckchen Backpulver verwendet. 
Zur Zeit regnet es seit zwei Tagen, aber ich finde das momentan noch schön. Der Garten hat sein Grün wiedergefunden und atmet wieder durch nach diesem langen heißen trockenen Sommer. 

Although it is called bread it is a cake. This is cake No. 2, the first one was eaten so quickly – no time for pictures.

Recipe: 
2-3 very ripe mashed bananas
100 g/0,22 lb/3.5 oz sugar
1 egg
4 tablespoons oil (I had canola oil)
300 g/0.66 lb/10.5 oz flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons grated nuts
2 tablespoons chocolate chips
2-3 tablespoons buttermilk (or milk) 
Put all together, mix well, bake for about 45 minutes with 180°C/356F. 

At the moment it is raining for two days, but I think it's currently still beautiful. The garden finds its green colour again after this long hot dry summer.

Strickmuster Sky Scarf

Sabine fragte mich, wie ich die Zacken in meinen Schal bekomme. Bei der Suche nach dem Strickmuster im Netz bin ich nicht wirklich fündig geworden, obwohl es ein bekanntes einfaches Muster ist, das man vielfach variieren kann. Daher habe ich hier eine Anleitung geschrieben, wie ich meinen Schal stricke. Die Zacken entstehen ganz von alleine durch die Zu- und Abnahmen im Muster. Falls was unklar ist, bitte einfach fragen.

Sabine asked me how I get the waves in my scarf. When looking for the knitting pattern on the internet I am not really find anything, even though it is a known simple pattern that can be varied in many ways. Therefore I have written a guide on how I knit my scarf. The waves arise all by themselves by the increases and decreases in the pattern.

III = slip 1, knit 2 stitches together, pass slipped stitch over

Dining Room Facelift - Esszimmer Renovierung

Zur heißesten Zeit des Jahres haben wir unser Esszimmer renoviert. Es hat sehr viel länger gedauert als angenommen, aber uns überzeugt das Ergebnis. Unser Haus wurde 1880 erbaut und damals war es üblich die Räume mit Wandpaneelen aus Holz zu isolieren. Leider alles in dunkelbraun gestrichen. Im Esszimmer, das nordseitig liegt, war es mir immer zu dunkel. Vier mal mussten wir drüber streichen, damit die Farbe endlich abgedeckt wurde. Die Wand malten wir zartgrün aus und verzierten sie mit einer Bordüre in orange. Außerdem werden noch zwei braune Schränke gegen weiße ausgetauscht und neue Vorhänge gibt's auch noch dazu. Wir genießen das frische helle Zimmer sehr und ich freue mich schon, wenn alles fertig ist.

Our dining room needed a facelift and we did it during the hottest time of the year. It has taken much longer as assumed, but we were convinced by the result. Our house was built in 1880 and at that time it was common practice to insulate the rooms with wooden wall panels. Unfortunately, all painted in dark brown. In the dining room, which is located on the north side, it was always too dark. Four times we had to paint before it finally covered the ground. We painted the wall in pale green and decorated it with a border in orange. Furthermore, two brown cabinets will be replaced by white ones and there will be also new curtains. We enjoy this fresh bright room a lot and I'm looking forward to when everything is ready.

Sky Scarf 07-2013

Hallo! Ich bin wieder da. Neuer PC funzt so halbwegs, obwohl Windows 8 und ich noch keine Freunde sind und mich schon ein paar Mal ziemlich reingelegt hat. ABER man kämpft sich so durch.
Viel ist passiert in diesen zwei Wochen, fangen wir am Anfang an. Bei meinem Schal ist der Juli hinzugekommen, durchwegs blau, was bedeutet dass dieser Sommer einfach grandios ist. Bei uns in Österreich wurde ein neuer Hitzerekord erreicht und zwar 40,6°C. Da sind meine Kleine und ich nur auf Tauchstation gegangen. 

Hello! I'm back. I got a new computer even though Windows 8 and I are no friends yet and I was already a few times pretty tricked. BUT one fights through.
A lot has happened in those two weeks, we start at the beginning. In my scarf July is added, all of them blue, which means that this summer is just terrific. Here in Austria, a new heat record was reached and it is 40.6°C (105.08°F). Therefore my girl and I have spent this time in the pool.

Color Collecting Picture Green - Farbwimmelbild Grün

Momentan bin ich völlig durch den Wind. Mein PC funzt nicht. Ob permanent oder vielleicht doch wieder, erfahre ich heute Abend. Zur Zeit arbeite ich auf dem Laptop meines Mannes. Was für eine Wüste! Nicht mal ein Bildbearbeitungsprogramm ist hier drauf. Aber sind wir mal froh, dass überhaupt noch ein anderes PC-Gerät im Haus ist. Daher gibt es heute nur einen Minimalpost. 

Right now I'm completely confused. My PC does not work. Whether permanently or maybe can fixed again, I learn tonight. I am currently working on my husband's laptop. What a wilderness! Not even an image editor is there. But let's be happy that yet another PC device is in the house. Therefore, there is only a minimal post today.

My Couch Blanket - Meine Sofadecke

Das ist meine Sofadecke seit über 20 Jahren. Sie liegt immer auf der Couch, Sommer wie Winter. Zwecks notwendiger Reparaturen hat sie heute das Sofa und das Wohnzimmer verlassen. Und landete dann auch gleich auf dem Rasen zum Fotografieren. Hier sieht man genau, wo der Rasensprenger hinreicht und wo nicht bewässert wurde. Wir haben einen eigenen Brunnen, daher bewässern wir den Rasen direkt beim Haus. 

This is my sofa blanket for over 20 years. Always lying on the couch, summer and winter. For the purpose of necessary repairs it has now left the couch and the living room. And then also immediately landed on the grass to take pictures. Here you can see exactly where the sprinkler irrigated the lawn and where not. We have a private well, so we water the lawn next to the house.

My Sky #3 - Ein Stück Himmel

Für diese Fotos musste ich tief graben. Ich habe sie vom Fotoalbum eingescannt, weil ich damals noch keine Digicam hatte. Der erste Urlaub mit meinem Freund, mit dem ich erst ein paar Monate zusammen war. Karibik, Antigua 1997. Ich lass das Fotoalbum auf dem Küchentisch liegen, dann kann sich mein Mann das später anschauen und auch in Erinnerungen schwelgen ;) 

For these photos I had to dig deep. I've scanned the photo album because I had no digicam that time. The first vacation with my boyfriend with whom I was only a few months together. 

Caribbean, Antigua 1997. I'll let the photo album on the kitchen table, then my husband can watch it later and indulge in reminiscences ;)

Heute mal wieder daran gedacht. Den 12. Tag des Monats dokumentiert man mit 12 Fotos. Mehr zu diesem Thema findet man bei "Draußen nur Kännchen".

Meine Füße rauchen, der Tag hatte es in sich. Zwei Wochen Ferien haben wir geschafft, aber heute stand uns der Sinn nach Großstadt. Also auf nach Wien über die Südosttangente, die am meisten befahrene Straße in Österreich. Außer in den Ferien, heute war nicht viel los. 

My feet are hot, the day was hard. Two weeks holiday past, but today we got in the mood for big city. So off to Vienna over the Südosttangente the most traveled road in Austria. Except during the holidays, today it was easy, not much traffic. 

My Sky #2

Da ich ja sowieso jeden Tag zum Himmel schaue für meinen Sky Scarf, kann ich auch ein Foto machen, sogar mit Schwalben. Mein Schal schaut zur Zeit fast langweilig aus, immer nur Blau. Ich will's nicht verschreien, so könnte es noch bis September sein.

As I do every day anyway, look to the sky for my Sky Scarf, I can take a picture, even with swallows. My scarf looks almost boring at the time, only blue. Hope this beautiful summer weather will last till September.

Color Collecting Picture Pink - Farbwimmelbild Pink

Inspiriert von Carina's 'Random Things That Are' habe ich meiner Kleinen heute die Aufgabe gestellt, so ein Farbbild zusammenzustellen. Die erste Farbe, die sie sich ausgesucht hat, war natürlich Pink. Sie war ganz Feuer und Flamme und hat Unmengen Sachen angeschleppt, wo wir dann die Dinge aussuchten, die aufs Bild müssen. Gute Methode, um die Kinder in den Ferien zu beschäftigen. Wir hatten einige AHA-Erlebnisse, weil Sachen gefunden wurden, die schon lange verschollen waren. 

Inspired by Carina's 'Random Things That Are' I gave my girlie the task, to put together a color image. The first color she has chosen was of course pink. She had a lot of fun searching all the things for the picture. Good method to get children busy during holidays. We had some 'aha' experiences, because things were found that were lost long ago.

Rip Serger Stitches – Overlocknähte auftrennen

Es ist wieder ein Shirt aus zu kleinem Gewand meiner Tochter entstanden. Erst auf den Fotos habe ich gesehen, dass die Schulterpartie zu breit ist. Wieso sieht man das immer erst auf den Fotos? Zuerst habe ich mir gedacht: *wurscht* also *egal*, aber dann habe ich mich im Internet schlau gemacht. Das Auftrennen dauerte wirklich nur 2 Minuten und dann noch mal drüber nähen und dabei etwas von der Schulterpasse wegschneiden. Also ganz leicht. Ich habe aber keine neuen Fotos gemacht. 

I made again a shirt from the too small clothes of my daughter. Only on the photos I've seen, that the shoulders are too wide. Why do you see mistakes the first time in the photos? First I thought: *I don’t care* but then I searched the internet and found some great tutorials. The separation really only took 2 minutes and then sew over it again and cut a little of the shoulder part. So easy. But I haven’t made new photos.

Clary Sage – Muskatellersalbei

Im Frühjahr habe ich ein völlig verwildertes Beet neu angelegt und dabei auch zum ersten Mal einen Muskatellersalbei (Salvia sclarea) gepflanzt. Und ich bin sprachlos über die Schönheit, Wuchsfreudigkeit und auch Größe der Pflanze. Da muss ich wohl noch mal umpflanzen und dem Salbei mehr Platz schaffen. 

In spring I've created a new flower bed from an entirely overgrown bed and there for the first time planted a clary sage (Salvia sclarea). And I am bowled over the beauty, growth happiness and size of the plant. Since I probably replant again and create more space to the sage. 

Sky Scarf 06-2013

Wow, das erste Halbjahr ist gestrickt. Im Juni ließ der Sommer kurz grüßen. Temperaturen weit über 30°C. Jetzt sind Ferien und ich hoffe, dass die Kinder noch ein paar solcher richtig heißen Sommertage abbekommen. 

Wow, half of the year is knitted. In June summer was briefly greeting. Temperatures well above 30°C (86F). Now are holiday and I hope the kids can enjoy some more of those really hot summer days.

Reading - Lesestoff

Momentan fesselt mich diese Bücherserie von Andrea Schacht und ich weiß schon jetzt, dass ich die Nachfolgeserie auch verschlingen werde. Ich liebe Mittelalterkrimis. Diese Bücher erzählen so intensiv und detailliert vom Alltagsleben damals und wenn dann noch eine spannende Handlung dabei ist, gibt's kein Halten mehr. Zum Glück hat mein Mädchen Verständnis dafür, wenn ich mal 2 Stunden die Nase in ein Buch stecke. Mehr als würde ich 30 Minuten in mein Nähzimmer verschwinden :) 
Und bei dieser Gelegenheit möchte ich euch zwei Web-Seiten vorstellen, die unglaublich hilfreich sind, wenn man alle Werke eines bestimmten Autors sucht oder die richtige Reihenfolge der Bücher in einer Serie. Oder wenn man Bücher aus einer bestimmten Epoche, eines Genres oder sonstiges sucht.

Histo-Couch und Krimi-Couch

Currently I am fascinated by this series of books by Andrea Schacht and I know already that I will also read the following series. I love medieval mysteries. These books tell so intense and detailed of everyday life back then and if then there is an exciting action, there's no stopping. Luckily my girl understands when I put my nose in a bokk for 2 hours or so. More than I would disappear for half an hour in my sewing room ;)

That's Our New Doll - Unser neues Püppchen

Das Püppchen ist fertig – gestrickt nach Anleitung von Strikkedukker. Der Puppenkörper ist relativ schnell gestrickt und der Anleitung ist auch einfach zu folgen. Die meiste Zeit haben die Haare gebraucht und die Kleidung. Schuhe und Jacke habe ich mir selber ausgedacht, da bin ich mit der Anleitung und meiner Wollstärke nicht zurecht gekommen. Schwer war auch, die Augen richtig zu positionieren. Da bin ich nicht ganz zufrieden, mir kommt vor sie schielt etwas. Seit die Haare drauf waren, hat meine Kleine immer wieder mit der Puppe gespielt und gleich ihre Haargummis und Bänder an ihr ausprobiert. Und ich sag immer, wenn’s dem Kind passt, dann passt es mir auch. Jetzt müssen wir noch einen Namen finden …

The doll is ready - knitted according to the instructions of Strikkedukker. The doll's body is knitted quite fast and the manual is also easy to follow. Most time took the hair and the clothes. The shoes and jacket I've made up myself because I did not get along with the instructions and my bulky yarn. Also it was difficult to position the eyes properly. I'm not completely satisfied, it seems to me she squints a little. Since the hair was on it, my girlie has always played with the doll, and immediately tried her hair bands and ribbons on the doll. And I always say, if it is OK with my child, then it’s OK with me. Now we need to find a name ... 

Strawberry Jam

5 kg Erdbeeren in 2 Tagen verputzt. Die Kleine und ihr Papa haben sie förmlich inhaliert. Ok 2 kg habe ich eingekocht, aber ich wollte doch noch mehr Marmelade haben. Daher fahren wir am Wochenende nochmal ins Erdbeer-Mekka nach Wiesen und holen Nachschub. 
Die hübschen Etiketten habe ich mit dem Jam Labelizer gemacht. 3 Farben und 7 Designs stehen zur Auswahl. Die Labels können direkt online, gratis und ohne Anmeldung gemacht und ausgedruckt werden. 

5 kg (11 lb) strawberries tucked away in 2 days. Girlie and her daddy have so to speak inhaled them. Ok I have made jam from 2 kg (4.4 lb) but I wanted to have even more jam. So we'll go again at the weekend to the strawberry Mecca to Wiesen and pick up more. I have made the pretty labels with the Jam Labelizer. 3 colors and 7 designs to choose from. The labels can be created directly online and printed for free and without registration.

Fresh Strawberries - Frische Erdbeeren

Erdbeeren aus Wiesen. Nicht aus dem Supermarkt, sondern direkt in Wiesen (Burgenland) selbst abgeholt. Gleich eine 5 kg Kiste. Und sie sind absolut köstlich und süß und riesig. Damit haben wir gleich mal den Pudding aufgepeppt. Und morgen wird Marmelade eingekocht. 

Strawberries from Wiesen (well-known village for strawberries and Jazz festivals). Not from the supermarket, but directly picked up in Wiesen (Burgenland) itself. A 5 kg (11 lb) box. And they are absolutely delicious and sweet and huge. We have pepped up the pudding. And tomorrow I will make jam.

Rainbow - Regenbogen

Dieser wunderschöne Sommertag verabschiedete sich am späten Nachmittag mit einem Gewitter und Regenschauer und schenkte uns danach einen atemberaubenden Regenbogen. Und wenn man genau schaut, erkennt man auch noch einen zweiten Bogen. Durch die Dämmerung erfasste die Kamera nicht die realen tollen Farben, daher habe ich die Sättigung etwas verstärkt. 

This beautiful summer day passed in the late afternoon with a thunderstorm and rain, and then gave us a stunning rainbow. And if you look closely, you can see even a second arc. Due to dusk my camera didn’t detect the real great colors, so I increased the saturation slightly.

Knitted Bracelet - Gestricktes Armband

Das süße Armband habe ich irgendwo im Netz gesehen und gleich genadelt. Eines ist schon weg und dieses hier bleibt bei meiner Kleinen. Und ich glaube weitere werden noch folgen, da die Armbänder wirklich blitzschnell gemacht sind. Ich habe jetzt für den Sommer Garn aus Baumwolle genommen. Schönes kleines Projekt, um Wollreste zu verwerten. 

I’ve seen the cute bracelet somewhere on the internet and made one at once. One is already gone and this stays here with my girlie. And I believe more will follow, as the bracelets are made really fast. It is summertime and I made them of cotton yarn. Nice little project to use scraps of wool.

Father's Day was a Great Day! - Vatertag war ein toller Tag!

Heute war in Österreich Vatertag und wir feiern den immer ordentlich. Mein Mann durfte ausschlafen und das Mädchen und ich streiften durch den Garten und pflückten einen hübschen Strauß für den Frühstückstisch. 

Today was Father's Day in Austria and we always celebrate this day. My husband was allowed to sleep in and the girl and I wandered through the garden and picked a nice bouquet for the breakfast table. 

Scraps Shirt No3 - Resteleiberl No3

Naja, eigentlich sind es keine Stoffreste, sondern wieder zu kleine Kleidungsstücke meiner Tochter. Die habe ich zerschnitten und daraus ein neues Shirt zusammengestellt. Diesmal habe ich den Schnitt Imke verwendet und etwas gelernt: wenn man einen Schnitt vergrößert, heißt das nicht zwingend, dass er breiter werden muss. Ich war natürlich zu faul hatte nicht die Zeit, den Schnitt nochmal abzuzeichnen. Die Schnittteile waren 3 Nummern kleiner als die jetzige Größe meiner Kleinen. Sie ist zwar in die Höhe gewachsen, aber nicht in die Breite. Ich habe bei der Anprobe seitlich einiges wieder wegnehmen müssen. 

Well, actually there are no scraps but too small clothes of my daughter. I cut them into pieces and put together a new shirt. This time I used the pattern Imke and learned something: if one enlarges a pattern, that does not necessarily mean that it needs to be wider. Of course I was too lazy did not have the time to draw the pattern again. The pattern pieces were three sizes smaller than the current size of my girlie. She may be grown in height but not in width. I had to cut away some inches of the sides. 

Big Foot?

Wat isn dat? What's that?

Ich habe schon mal darüber berichtet, dass ich das tolle Buch Strikke Dukker gewonnen habe und jetzt habe ich Lust ein Püppchen zu stricken. Nach dem Big Foot zu urteilen, wird das Püppchen gar nicht mal so klein, etwa 40 cm. Das erste Pupperl werde ich nach Anleitung stricken, aber die nächsten werde ich etwas verkleinern. Sehr praktisch erweist sich das aus Versehen zu kurz bestellte Nadelspiel. Ja, ich wusste auch nicht, dass es da zwei Längen gibt. Aber ideal zum Pupperl stricken. Schwierig gestaltete sich auch Wolle in Hautfarbe zu finden, jetzt wird das Püppchen halt wie nach einer Kur mit Selbstbräuner ausschauen ;)

I've been telling you that I have won the great book Strikke Dukker and now I would like to knit a doll. After the Big Foot to judge the doll is not too small, about 40 cm (15.7 in). The first doll I will knit after instructions, but the next I make a little smaller. Very handy are the double pointed needles that I accidentally ordered too short. Yes, I also did not know that there are two lengths. But they are ideal for knitting dolls. It was difficult to find wool in skin color, now the doll will look like after a treatment with self tanning cream ;)

Wie die Zeit vergeht. Mai ist auch schon vorbei und er war sehr kalt. Temperaturen sieht man leider nicht am Schal. Der Himmel war zwar viel blau, aber es hatte nur 8°-15°C. Momentan regnet es sehr viel - Hochwasser steigt an vielen Orten.

How time flies. May is already over and was very cold. Temperatures can not be seen on the scarf. The sky was often blue but it had only 8°-15°C (45-60F). Currently it rains a lot - flood rises in many places.

Auch wenn der Sommer auf sich warten lässt, im Garten passieren doch ein paar schöne Dinge. 

Although we are still waiting for summer there are happening some few nice things in the garden.

Old Clothes - New Dress

Ich bin auf den Geschmack gekommen. Statt die zu kleine Kleidung meines Mädchens zu horten, wird alles in große Teile geschnitten. Dann wird frisch fröhlich drauf losgepatcht. Sagt man das so? Inspiration war dieses Kleidchen (Link zu Pinterest). Es wurden vier Shirts und Reste eines Pyjamas verarbeitet. Aufgrund der kalten Temperaturen gibt es leider kein Foto am Modell. Und auf dem Tisch liegt schon wieder Nachschub. 

I love it. Instead of hoarding my girlies too small clothes, I cut everything into large pieces. Then I patch them together. If you say that so? Inspiration was this dress. The dress was made of four shirts and parts of a pyjamas. Due to the cold temperatures there are unfortunately no pictures on the model. And there are a lot of another clothes pieces on the table again.

Pieplants Cake – Rhabarberkuchen

Im Garten meiner Freundin gedeiht Rhabarber prächtig, bei mir leider nicht. Und sie mag ihn nicht mal besonders. Daher war sie mehr als froh, dass ich ihr die Ernte abnahm. Einen Teil habe ich zu einem wahnsinnig leckeren Kuchen verarbeitet und den anderen Teil friere ich ein und wird später mal zur Erdbeermarmelade gemischt.

In the garden of my friend pieplants (rhubarbs) thrives superb, unfortunately not with me. And they do not even particularly like it. Therefore she was more than glad that I took her harvest. Some of them I've made into a incredibly delicious cake and the other part I freeze and then mix it with strawberries for jam. 

Recipe:

175 g/0.39 lb/6.17 oz sugar

175 g/0.39 lb/6.17 oz butter

175 g/0.39 lb/6.17 oz flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

3 egg yolks

3 tablespoons lukewarm water

500 g/1.1 lb pieplants, trimmed, cut into small pieces

Meringue:

3 egg whites

175 g/0.39 lb/6.17 oz sugar

Preheat oven to 175°C/347F. Prepare the dough, pour into a baking dish and add the rhubarbs pieces on it. Put in the oven for 25 minutes. Meringue: Beat the egg white until stiff and add the sugar, mix well. Spread the meringue after 25 minutes baking time on the cake and bake another 20 minutes. Let cool the cake briefly after baking time in the form.

Birdhouse – Vogelhaus

Wenn ein Mann sagt er repariert das, dann macht er das auch. 

Man muss ihn nicht alle sechs Monate daran erinnern.

If a man says he will fix it, he will fix it. 

There is no need to remind him every 6 months.

Ich hab meinen Mann nur sechs Mal erinnern müssen und schon hängt das Ding. Vor drei Jahren bekam ich zum Geburtstag ein Vogelhaus und seitdem wartete es auf einen Nagel. Aber gestern standen anscheinend die Sterne günstig und nach ein paar Minuten war es getan. So genug gelästert über meinen lieben Mann, es gibt ja auch bei mir Sachen, die seit Jahren herumliegen, im Verborgenen, nicht so offensichtlich, drum nennt man sie auch UFO’s ;)

I have to remind my husband only six times and the thing is already hanging. Three years ago I got a birdhouse as birthday gift and since then it waited for a nail. But yesterday were apparently the stars are favorable and after a few minutes it was done. So enough tattled about my dear husband, there are also things with me that lying around for years, in secret, not so obvious, that's why they are also called UFO's ;)

Recycled Old Clothes - Wiederverwertung alter Kleidung

Beim Aussortieren der zu kleinen Sachen meiner Kleinen werde ich immer ganz wehmütig. Manche Aufdrucke sind zu süß und die Kleidung fast zu schade zum Weggeben. Daher habe ich mal wieder etwas recycelt und aus alten Pullis und Pyjamas ein Kleidchen genäht. Drei Oberteile und ein Nachthemd stecken in der neuen Tunika. Eine gute Gelegenheit einen neuen Schnitt auszuprobieren. Dieser hier ist Primavera von Lillesol und passt perfekt. 

When sorting out the too small clothes of my girlie I am getting wistfully. Some imprints are too sweet and the clothes almost too good for giving away. Therefore I recycled some old shirts and pajamas and sewed a dress. Three tops and a nightgown stick in the new tunic. A good opportunity to try a new cut. This one is Primavera from Lillesol and fits perfectly.
